Lightly Calcined Magnesite

Lightly Calcined Magnesite is produced by sintering raw magnesite Shaft Kiln at a controlled temperature 1100 degree centigrade by using furnace oil. The Lightly Calcined Magnesite is chemically reactive material.

Dead Burnt Magnesite

  Dead Burnt Magnesite is produced in the Rotary Kiln by sintering raw magnesite at a controlled temperature of 1750 degree centigrade and it is chemically inactive. Dead Burnt Magnesite is consumed mostly in the production of Refractory materials

   APPLICATIONS :

  • Refractory Industry for manufacture of Basic Refractory Bricks
  • Manufacture of Ramming Mass composition, Fettling material and Magnesite Mortar
  • It is used in SLAG beneficiation and in SLAG splashing in Arc Furnaces
  • It is also used as a coating material in Steel Industry.

Dunite

   
 DUNITE Dunite, the parent rock of Magnesite contains 49% of MgO and 39% of SiO2 and the Magnesite is derived from the Dunite. It is dark Grey to Olive Green in colour. The total reserves available will be approximately 3 million tons.

Raw Magnesite (Slaty & Dust)

   Raw Magnesite slaty mainly occurs in association with Magnesite at contact zone i.e. near non ore bearing country rock. Physical and chemical compositions of Raw Magnesite slaty are as follows:

   Physical specification:

a. Colour      :  dull white often with dull black stains
b. Size          :  0 to 300 mm

   Chemical specification:

 Loss onIgnition(LOI)        : 44.00 to 48.00%
 Ferric Oxide(Fe2O3)          : 00.20 to 2.00%
 Alumina(Al2O3)             : 00.20 to 1.00%
 Silica(SiO2)                : 05.00 to 14.00%
 Calcium Oxide(CaO)        : 00.20 to 2.00%
 Magnesium Oxide (MgO)   : 42.00 to 44.00%

   Uses :

   Mainly used in chemical industries for treatment of effluents, fertilizer industries and animal feeds. However, nowadays it used in cement plants for compensating Magnesium deficiency in Lime stone.


   Raw Magnesite dust

   Raw Magnesite dust is mainly accumulated due to screening of Raw Magnesite smalls. Physical and chemical compositions of Raw Magnesite  dust are as follows:

a. Colour      :  dull white
b. Size          :  0 to 6 mm

   Chemical specification:

 Loss on Ignition(LOI)    : 42.00 to 48.00%
 Ferric Oxide(Fe2O3)      : 00.20 to 2.00%
 Alumina(Al2O3)           : 00.20 to 1.00%
 Silica(SiO2)            : 06.00 to 14.00%
 Calcium Oxide(CaO)      : 00.20 to 2.00%
 Magnesium Oxide (MgO) : 42.00 to 45.00%

   Uses :

    Mainly used for manufacturing Magnesium sulphate, as filler in fertilizer industries and animal feeds.
